Foot Ligament Repair
It will usually be done as a day case procedure under a general anesthetic. Your consultant may conduct an initial arthroscopic examination of the ligament, prior to making a bigger incision close to the ligament. It may be that the existing ligament can be repaired using stitches. Alternatively, the repair may require strengthening using support from other tissues, or a tendon may be used to take the place of torn ligaments.
Foot Sport Injuries
The foot and ankle work together to provide support and mobility. All types of athletes are at risk of sustaining a foot or ankle injuries or developing an ongoing condition. Injuries to the foot or ankle while being active are common.
